I no longer have the time, energy or ability to do anything creative whatsoever. The spark is officially out.

I was never really creative or artistic. Over the years what little I did have started slipping away. Gone are the days when I can just create something for my own amusement. I really need others to help me move along. Last night I thought that the last tendril had been severed. I was shocked and hurt to the point of actual physical pain. But this morning I decided to try to trudge onward, even if the effort is short lived. So. Here goes.

  • Mood: Grumpy
  • Listening to: office murmur
  • Eating: cereal bar
  • Drinking: coffee

Bleh.

I decided I wasn't happy with the first chapter of Of Spirit and Circle so I deleted it. I have a bad habit of being impatient and making things happen too fast. So I'm rewriting it. It almost seems like I have to finish the story before I can put up a chapter. I'm always changing stuff. But I'm anxious to share stuff and get feedback. How does everyone else do it? And I doubt I'll be getting to Anijel's original story any time soon...

Yes, after a year and a half I’ll actually be uploading something. My muses are chomping at the bit to work on something, and work has been extremely boring lately. I’m so crazy that I’m thinking of working on 2 projects at the same time. But don’t get too excited. We all know how long my endeavors actually last. But maybe if I had enough encouragement I’ll be able to keep it up…

The project currently in the foreground is my own story of a bunch of teenagers with control over the elements. Who doesn't love these stories? I decided against doing another magical senshi story. This will be a modern story set in a generic metropolis. Right now the working title will be "Of Spirit and Circle." I’m hoping to put up the first chapter by the end of today.

The second project is revisiting the story for which I originally created Anijel. Currently there is no working title for this. I lost all the original notes for this (we're talking all the way back to about 1995, I can’t even remember if it was written or done on one of my first computers) and so I have to try to remember/recreate everything. Actually I’m contemplating the idea that after the first few chapters of the story to turn this into one of those “Choose Your Own Adventure” stories and let the readers decide which way to turn. It’d be quite a challenge to take on, so we’ll see.

I will probably continue to make all posts to here, since it’s the best place I can think of. I know diddly squat about creating a website. And it’s not like I can do any art anyway.
